About Us

Fiber Rhythm Craft & Design™ helps fiber crafters complete more projects, beautifully!

Fiber Rhythm Craft & Design opened it’s first retail location in 2014 in the Brooklyn Business Suites on SE Milwaukie Ave. We moved in the spring of 2017 to our current location in the Ford Building after participating in our first Rose City Yarn Crawl. During the pandemic, we down-sized and worked out of a 3rd floor space in the Ford Building, by appointment. We are so glad to be back on street level and able to help our customers learn and grow in their crafting endeavors.

The Team

Each of us brings our own crafting history to work with us each day. Find out more about us below.

Owner, Teacher, Back Office, Websites, Wearer of many hats

Dawn is a TKGA Master Hand Knitter and a retired IBM techie who loves data and poking around code. Dawn enjoys learning new craft techniques and helping people explore their creativity. Dawn is currently working on her TKGA Master Machine Knitting certification and exploring all things knitting machine. Gauge swatches, anyone?

Sales Associate, Reflective Ribbon Wrangler, Librarian

Dianne has a wide variety of crafting experience from sewing and quilting to knitting and crochet. She immersed herself in weaving while exploring her Norwegian roots. Ask her about her traditional warp weighted loom. While working on her advanced degree, Dianne has taken up birding, so check in with her about her quest for the White-tailed Ptarmigan. Little known fact: Dianne is the reason we carry our reflective yarn.

Sales Associate, Purchasing

Brian has a home studio and is a  lover of spinning wheels and looms. He has been known to clean, card, spin, dye, and weave a raw fleece into a memorable keepsake. As a chemist, he is drawn to the properties, interactions, and behaviors of fiber. Brian is an overall fiber enthusiast and lover of dogs.
